The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the higher amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of website clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance position made for intervention encounters a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
